I'm also very happy to see a number of people who browse regional blogs have been increased a lot.

Some of the regionally popular blogging sites like iLand, also introduced to blog in 8 Indian languages.(Ref. The Hindu Business Line). It is very nice to see such a good opportunity grow your language as well as B-Literature. Many poets are emerging, the information is being spread to all over the Internet and it also unites the people.

What is possible bad thing about regional blogging is bound to IT companies. IT administrators can see it as threat because increasing number of regional blogs gives a strong message to control and manage these blogs too. They may also need to differentiate between good content and bad content in each language, and control it. This is not only bound to Blogs, This is also applicable to regional language web-sites, forums..etc.,

Why am i talking about regional blogging because in India there are thousands of IT companies in each city and close to 75,000 people working in Infosys alone in India.

IT administrators may need to start thinking of managing regional blogging, if not now at least they will look after near future for sure.

If you have more points I welcome you to put your comment on Regional Blogging.

Tags: Regional, Blogging, Blogger fun, Blog, Regional Blogging
Peter Jayarajhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04505352833940842476noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14513154.post-526661464172665622007-10-15T10:59:00.000+05:302007-10-15T15:16:54.935+05:30E-Waste?

I'm very proud to participate in Blog Action day. Don't fall into such trap... if you get the following mail from unknown people, Just report it as Spam... :)

DONATION FOR THE LORD
From: Mrs. Monica Tema

PLEASE ENDEAVOUR TO USE IT FOR THE CHILDREN OF GOD.I am the above name person from Sierra-Leone. I am married to Dr Ebenezer Tema who worked with Sierra Leonian Embassy in South Africa for nine years before he died in the year 2001. We were married for eleven years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his death we were both born again Christians and we lived happilly. Since his death, I decided not to re-marry.
When my late husband was alive he secured $15Million (Fifteen Million U.S. Dollars) with financial institution here in Cote D'Ivoire. Presently, this money is still with the financial institution. Recently, my Doctor told me that from all the test conducted on my health, I am not going to last long, expecially, due to my cancer and stroke. But what disturbs me most now is stroke.
Having known my condition, I decided to donate this fund to churches or Christian individual that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct. I want a church or individual that will use this money to fund churches, Orphanages and Widows. Also, the propagation of the work of God, building and maintaining the house of God through this money, is very important.
The Bible made us to understand that Blessed is the hand that giveth. I took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians. I don?t want my husband's hard earned money to be misused by unbelievers, for their own selfish interest and in an ungodly manner. I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bossom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace.
I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health, and because of the presence of my husband's relatives around me sometimes. With its serial journal publishing style, presence on the pre-HTTP web and strong similarity to the common blog form which features links to interesting and cool places on the net chosen by the blogger, mod.ber had many of the characteristics commonly associated with the term Blog [citation needed][original research?]. Even some of our Indian web-site have written like Google is going to shut down the communities in Orkut after many protests in India, and many other incidents recently. I want to ask only one question to Google Inc.,

Why can't i control my communities notifications like the messages to my "orkut Messages". My Messages are flooded from many communities where I'm member of it. Someone says my son is a member of more than 800 communities then how can it be useful to receive all the messages in Orkut Messages? Why cant you give me control over the communities i joined at least? or Is it a sign of Shutting down communities in orkut? - Or is it time to join any other social networking sites?
Peter Jayarajhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04505352833940842476noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14513154.post-50188531130708792082007-08-07T11:08:00.000+05:302007-08-07T14:42:17.764+05:30Mapunity Information Services and India...I really wondered when i had seen this, Bangalore Live Traffic in the site..,

Really it is an amazing web-site, the reason is very simple, This is the first of this kind, very innovative, bold step has taken by the Govt. to give such an opportunity to Mapunity Information Services, and they really won in this case. Micro-Blogging Microchunking...and more...The Internet world talks a lot about Micro-blogging like Twitter, Jaiku, Pownce..etc. In the beginning i was really thinking about the concept behind Micro-blogging... I had couple of questions in my mind for very long time.

What is so great in Twitter?
Isn't it just sending messages to Mobile phones instantly?
How did it become so popular which has more than 300,000 users around...?
Isn't it the same as updating status messages("What are you doing now?")?

I did not get answers until Wayne Porter, explained me this is new because it is great because the concept of Micro-chunking is new to the Internet but very efficient. This is important because increasing User generated Content in Web like Youtube, Social networking...etc., Wayne also had a great observation about it in this post,

"According to a recent report VIDEO (e.g. P2PTV, IPTV, etc) has now taken over HTTP traffic, even P2P traffic as the most prevalent form of traffic online. History aside this is the shift we need to think about it. Source of media consumption really is shifting or has shifted, where we get our information is changing and it changes as it enters into our sphere…this is an important and critical paradigm shift. Web 2.0, User Generated Content, ability to give feedback, etc are having an effect.."

Hmm.. He also described how can it be used in reality to utilize the concept more.

"It brings new thoughts about memetics (or revives older ones), meme fecundity, meme replication, etc. If anything I think our government, any government for that matter, should adopt micro-chunking as a way to get information into the organization. Twitter or micro-chunk among yourselves folks- information and ideas flow faster. Response is quicker and more ideas can be chewed over. Intelligence is only as good as action though."
Hmm.. interesting... Micro-chunked web applications in the name of widgets/gadgets see everywhere all micro chunked content. Damn... Web 2.0 is turning to Micro... Micro.. Orkut is again news for bad...!!!

It is not because of Orkut. It is just the general issue with Internet and Web 2.0. It is about freedom of speech. People can express it in many ways like blogging about anything they like, don't like, discussing in forums...etc.,

Increasing technologies allow the people to interact more with other people who has similar thoughts can discuss about it. They can be friends also. It happens through Social networking which is very famous in recent days which is very much visible from the growth of Orkut, Myspace, Friendster..etc,

Here we go about couple of recent news...

From SDA Asia Magazine,

The Indian government is examining a proposal to slap restrictions on the networking website Orkut following a complaint from Shiv Sena, which found some adverse comments against its chief Bal Thackeray on the portal.

"We are examining the request from Maharashtra police (with whom Shiv Sena has filed the complaint) from all angles. We may take a few days to reach a solution," Controller of Certifying Authority (CCA) N Vijayaditya, whose division is looking into the issue, said.

As everybody knows Govt. have not yet given any order to block Orkut issue yet. But the local police people in Mumbai tells cybercafes to block the Orkut... You can see it in the following Article,

Cyber cafes across Mumbai and Thane have blocked Orkut and their owners blame policemen for it rather than the Shiv Sena. The party alleges that the site has unacceptable content about Chhatrapati Shivaji and Bal Thackeray. Yet, when asked, cyber café owners claim that it is the police that have asked them to block Orkut.
“The cops came here and asked us to block Orkut,” is the standard reply cyber cafe owners give whenever a customer complains that the website is inaccessible.

It looks like Shiv Sena Rules the Police. Let us see when are they going to update this feature.

WLW attracted me for two major options:
1) Inserting Tables 2) Inserting Maps.

These are the major options i would love to have it in my blog. Blogger API does not support these. Again one more thing is related to WLW. My system hanged couple of times after i started the WLW. I can not blame because it is Microsoft Product... lol

When are they going to work out to give a better product in their life... ;)

Tags: WLW, Windows Live Writer sucks, Windows Live Writer, WLW sucks
Peter Jayarajhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04505352833940842476noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14513154.post-30806955842810037682007-05-29T12:01:00.001+05:302007-05-29T12:23:00.208+05:30Is there anyway to block Google from entering to my House? From Digg, I've got this image... Something is not right. isn't it?

Yup. The people who forwards the messages never wanted to know the truth. You can find real story from CNN-IBN,

"Twenty-four-year-old Manish Thakur, a naval officer based in Goa, has now been arrested for allegedly shooting Kaushambi, his girlfriend, in Hotel Sun-n-Sheel in Andheri...
...Kaushambi and Manish went to the same school in Jharkhand and were reportedly dating each other since school days. Look what Mumbai police said. Mumbai Police say "Thakur's profile on Orkut, the social networking site, helped them...".

Sometime back i wrote a story about Is orkut dying?, now Orkut is in news for a good reason. Maybe i have to re-think of Orkut death.

So based on the above story Orkut helped cops to trace the Shooter. So I want you to re-read the message "Never love a stranger on Orkut-----TCS gal murder case story revealed." It does not seem to fit into it.
So i would like to change it to "Orkut helps the cops to trace the murderer".

If not Orkut? tracing back the murder would have taken a year or so. Rs.1000 ->Rs.2000)

The made a statement about Indian Mobile market after they have bought Hutchison Essar, for $10.9 billion recently. So next step seems to acquire mobile handset market with Hutch service.

"...In markets such as India or Tanzania the cost of purchasing a mobile handset can be one of the key barriers to accessing mobile services..."

So Indian Mobile lovers going to surely enjoy this for ultra-low cost mobiles and Hutch service. This is a very healthy competition between mainly already in Nokia and Motorola. Being the first time in Indian Market Vodafone is going to be Fresher to Indian Market but seems to be Experienced in judging Indian Mind.

So we can expect soon Motorola and Nokia to reduce the Handset price or whatever.. So what is the solution for this?

There are number of fake Apple iPods increased in Indian markets. look at the original iPod nano in right side figure. The below one is fake Apple iPod. They also provide same features but the price of the Poor man's iPod nano 4 GB is Rs.2500 ($55)

200$ Versus 55$. So obviously the fake Apple iPod is in the markets for a while.
